A longtime resident of the area, NY passed away on January 15, 2013 at Elant at Goshen. She was 87 yrs. old. She was born on October 12, 1925 to Franz and Francesca Faber Wassermann in the Czech Republic. She was the widow of the late Steven Wassermann.
A family statement reads, “While living in Queens, our mother took in every stray animal she came across in an era when there were few to help. She even fed the mouse under the fridge little pieces of cheese and taught us that all life, no matter how small, was important. She never looked away. We love you forever.”
She is survived by her son Glenn Wassermann and wife Maureen of Walden, her daughter, Betina Wassermann and husband Rev. Conner Tribble of Queens, NY, grandchildren Nadia, Nathan and Fiona, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband and two sisters
