Obituary of Audrey Bellarosa

Audrey Stryker Bellarosa, PhD, a longtime resident of Walden, entered in to eternal rest on February 13, 2013. Audrey was born on August 5, 1933 She was 79 yrs. old. She was the daughter of the late Fred and Martha Buel Stryker. Audrey was presently employed as a school psychologist at Orange AHRC for 25 yrs. She received her PhD in psychology from Mississippi State University in Starkville Miss. She was one of the founders of the Walden Ambulance Corp. Her passions included working, shopping, painting, visiting her cabin in PA, playing with her dog Bandit and the cat Twister, cooking, baking and especially spending time with her family and friends. Audrey is survived by her children, John Charles Bellarosa and wife Penny, Valerie “Pinky” Bellarosa and Audie Mark Bellarosa. Audrey loved her grandchildren dearly, Kim, Chris and Corey Bellarosa anf her great grandson Brody. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Iris and Delia Bellarosa, Mary Austin, Sally Stryker and brothers-in-law, James Bellarosa and Nunzio Mondello, as well as several wonderful nieces and nephews and loyal friends In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband John J. Bellarosa, sisters, Martha Mondello, Aletha Behringer, Susan Tompkins and brothers Kenneth Austin, Kief Stryker, Perry Stryker and Fred Stryker. Special Thanks to Dr. Quinones and his staff and also Dr. Singh and his staff for their continual support and caring. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to the American Heart Association or the Walden Humane Society. Visitation will be held on Friday Feb. 15, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home 39 Orchard St. Walden, NY 12586 Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday Feb. 16, 2013 at 11 am at Most Precious Blood Church, Walden, NY Burial Wallkill Valley Cemetery, Rte 52 Walden
