Claire Zingarelli of Montgomery, NY passed peacefully into the Lord’s hands on Monday evening February 25, 2013 with her son Dennis and daughter-in-law Carolann at her side. Claire was a lifelong New Yorker, born in the Bronx on August 29, 1923 to Pelligrino and Vincenzina Postiglione Iachetta. Claire enjoyed the last five years, residing at Montgomery Manor Senior Apartments, where she made many new friends and got re-acquainted with some old Bronx buddies. Claire is survived by her son Dennis and wife Carolann of Walden and son Robert and wife Lori of West Palm Beach, Florida, three grandsons Mickey, Wyatt and Richard, Thirty-one nieces and nephews, plus dozen of their children. The Zingarelli Family would like to publicly thank Lisa Tersillo of Willcare for her years of constant devotion to Claire as here care giver, confidante and “daughter” Claire has been reunited with her husband Louis Zingarelli and several brothers and sisters. Contributions may be made in Claire’s memory to the Make a Wish Foundation or the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation Visitation will be held on Thursday February 28, 2013 from 2-4 pm and 7-9pm at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home 39 Orchard St. Walden, NY 12586 Services will be held on Friday March 1, 2013 at 10 am at St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Walden.
