Paul David Doolittle of Bloomingburg, formerly of Walden, NY, a employee of Amthor Welding, Gardiner and of Whispering Pines, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2013 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Middletown, NY. He was 64. The son of Paul and Emily Wood Doolittle, he was born on August 17, 1948 in Newburgh, NY. He served in the Air Force during the Viet Nam War. He was an avid hunter, trapper, and geocacher. He was a member of the Walden Fire Dept., the Wallkill Rod & Gun Club, and the Walker Valley Rod & Gun Club. Paul is the widower of the late Jeanne Doolittle. Survivors are his longtime partner, Dawn Berrian of Bloomingburg; a son, Paul David Doolittle II and his partner Margaret Duke of Bloomingburg; step daughter Jodi Pangia of Walden; three brothers, Russell Doolittle of Liberty, Eugene Robert Doolittle of Modena, William Doolittle of Riverview, FL; two sisters, Rosalie Coddington of Venice, FL, and Phyllis Brieger of Accord, NY; one granddaughter, Destiny Charles and one great granddaughter, Nevaeh Jeanne; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Dorothy Otis. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 3, 2013 from 6-8 PM at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY. Funeral services will be held on Monday evening at 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Cremation will be in the Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh. Burial of his cremains will be in the Orange County Veterans Cemetery, Goshen, NY
