Beldon “Mike” Van Wagenen of Middletown, NY, a retired therapy aide at the Middletown Psychiatric Center and a driver for AHRC and Mid City Transit, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Middletown, NY. He was 80 years old. The son of Chauncey and Lunda VanLeuven Van Wagenen, he was born on Novmeber 12, 1932 in Walden, NY. Mike was a Navy Veteran serving in the Korean War.
Survivors are is wife, Barbara Barney Van Wagenen at home; a son, Ron Van Wagenen of Wallkill; a daughter, Cindy Van Wagenen-Curren of Raleigh, NC; brother, Neil Van Wagenen and his wife, Bonnie of Gardiner; stepson, Michael Smith of of Middletown; 2 stepdaugters, Keryn Barney of Orlando, FL and Melissa McGrath of Monroe; sister-in-law, Beverly Barney of Middletown; grandchiildrn, Jessica, Ryan, Chris, Ronnie Jr. and Miya. He was predeceased by his first wife, Bessie Van Wagenen, son, Chris Van Wagenen, brother, Jack Van Wagenen and two sisters, Shirley Manning and Ginny Medley.
Griveside funeral services will be held on Friday, June 21, 2013 at 11 AM in the Wallkill Valley Cemetery, Walden. NY.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Orange & Sullivan. 800 Stony Brook Ct., Newburgh, NY.
