Donald K. Mohrmann of Montgomery, NY, a retired general superintendent for the NYC Transit Authority, New York City and also retired from the NYC Shipping Association, passed away on June 19, 2013 in Northville, NY. He was 74 years old. The son of Karl and Alice Heveran Mohrmann, he was born on November 21, 1938 in Manhattan, NY.
Donald was a Viet Nam Army veteran. He was also a past member of the Washingtonville Fire Dept. and present member of the Pine Bush Fire Dept.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Bulka Mohrmann at home; a son, Michael A. Mohrmann and his wife, Kerri of Johnson, NY; a daughter, Christine M. Smith and her husband, Michael of Montgomery, NY; a brother Robert Mohrmann of San Diego, CA; four grandchildren, Andrew, Jillian, Joseph and Brooke; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard Street, Walden, NY, on Sunday, June 23, 2013 from 6-8 PM and on Monday June 24 from 10 – 11 AM. Funeral services will be held on Monday June 24 at 11 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Orange County Veterans Cemetery, 111 Craigville Road, Goshen, NY.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Veterans Food Pantry.
