Clarence H. “Butch” Osterhoudt, Jr. of Montgomery, NY, a former employee for Carlgen Inc. of Walden, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at home. He was 65 years old. The son of the late Clarence H.Osterhoudt, Sr. and Virginia Mansfield Osterhoudt, he was born on December 30, 1947 in Walden. Butch served in the US Army during the Vietnam War, was a life member of the Walden Sportsman’s Club, the NRA, and the Walden VFW. He loved hunting and fishing. Survivors are his wife, Gwen Maroney Osterhoudt at home; his mother, Virginia Osterhoudt of Walden; a son Michael Osterhoudt and his wife, Lisa of Virginia; two daughters, Julie Osterhoudt and her companion Nage Salama of New Jersey and Allison Osterhoudt an dher husband, Steven Riddick of Bullville; two brothers, Jerry Osterhoudt and Robert “Bob” Osterhoudt both of Walden; a sister, Sandy Schroeder of Walden; three grandchildren, the apples of his eye, Saige, Kaine and Kaitlyn; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Clarence H. Sr., brother, Paul Osterhoudt and his beloved dog, Roadie. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 21, 2013, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY. Services will be held on Monday, July 22, 201 at 11 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Wallkill Valley Cemetery, Walden. Contributions may be made to the Walden Sportsman’s Club or Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties.
