Obituary of Rhoda Panaro

Rhoda Panaro of Coldenham, NY, a former union meat wrapper forUnited Food and Commercial Workers International, Brooklyn, NY, passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh. She was 70 years old. She was the widow of the late Ralph J. Panaro. The daughter of the late Harry and Etta Horowitz Levine, Rhoda was born on April 11th 1943 in Brooklyn, NY. Rhoda was active in various community activities including Wesley Seniors/Maybrook Seniors as well as being a lifemember of the Coldenham Ladies Auxillary. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Survivors are her daughter Michell and her husband Michael Keenan of Coldenham; three grandchildren, Michael Keenan and companion Kimberly Magill, Erik Keenan and Lara Keenan, Sister-in-law Anna Brown, nieces and nephews Wayne Jacobowitz and wife Rebecca, Linda Mulcahy, Kathy Cardero, Patrick Cardero and wife Rizza, Sam Panaro and wife Karen. She was predeceased by her husband Ralph J. Panaro, sister Anne Jacobowitz and Uncle Sidney Horowitz. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 18, 2013, from 4-7 PM at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY. Services will be held graveside on Monday, August 19, 2011 at 11 AM at the Wallkill Valley Cemetery Rte 52 Walden, NY.
