Alfred D. Smith of Newburgh, NY, a machine operator for Avoset Food Corp., Newburgh, NY, passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at St Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh, NY. The son of Stephen and Mary Taylor Smith, he was born on September 1, 1931 in Newburgh, NY. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Alfred was the widower of Rita R. Smith. Survivors are two sons: Alfred J. Smith and his wife, Carol of Wallkill and Frank P. Smith of Newburgh; three daughters: Rita Borawski and her husband, Timothy, Deborah Smith and Colleen Thomas and her husband, James all of Newburgh; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by twelve brothers and sisters.
Funeral services and burial are private.
