Mary E. Cowan of Walden, NY, an employee of United Jersey Bank in Hackensack, NY, passed away at Montgomery Nursing Home, Montgomery, NY, on Tuesday, November 5, 2013. The daughter of Frederick and Roseanna McDonald Cowan, she was born on May 17, 1923 in Ireland. She was 90 years old.
Mary is survived by her sisters, Katherine Ellard of Walden and Roseanna Paley of Ireland, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
The family would like to thank everyone at Montgomery Nursing Home for their loving care to Mary.
A visitation will be held on Monday, November 11, 2013 from 9 – 10:30 AM at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard Street, Walden, NY. A memorial mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 11 at 11 AM at the Church of the Most Precious Blood, Walden following the visitation.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes Children’s Hospital.
