Elaine L. Burnett, 85 of Walden, NY entered into rest at home on Tuesday, November 12, 2013. She dedicated her life to her family. She was chiefly a housewife and mother devoted to her husband, children and grandchildren. She never stopped giving herself to her family and she blessed our hearts and lives like only a loving mother could. Elaine was married to her husband, the late Cortis W. Burnett, for 65 years. She is survived by her daughter Candis Stickle and husband Robert of Poughkeepsie, son Cortis A. Burnett and wife Debra of Newburgh, granddaughter Heather Stickle of Poughkeepsie and grandson David Stickle and wife Sara of Smyrna GA. Other survivors include two sisters, Helen Young of Surprise, AZ. And Arlene Gwosch of Greenfield, MA., and brother Richard Herzig and wife Amy of Colrain, MA. There will be no calling hours. Graveside services will be held at the West Branch Cemetery in Colrain, MA at a future date.
