Juanita L. Testa of Walden, NY passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie, NY. The daughter of the late Hans Peter and Nettie Mae Carney Hansen, she was born on March 26, 1926 in Dybery, PA. She was 91 years old. She was a nurse’s aide at the Middletown State Hospital and worked as a seamstress in Walden.
Juanita is survived by her daughters: Genevieve Mazzarella of Florida and Dorothy Taylor of Montgomery; son, Stanley Testa of Virginia; sister, Alice Ellison of Florida, five grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers and sisters.
A visitation will be held from 12 noon – 2 PM on Monday, October 16th at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM at the funeral home following the visitation. Burial will be in the Wallkill Valley Cemetery, Walden, NY.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Josephine-Louise Library, Walden, NY.
