Anna T. Buchanan of Town of Montgomery, passed away on January 18, 2014 at Valley View Nursing Home, Goshen, NY. She was 96 yrs old. The daughter of the late Joseph and Annie Berean Weist she was born on July 5, 1917 in Newburgh, NY. Her grandparents were Jacob Berean from France and Catherine Keenen from Rose Common, Ireland.
Anna was a dedicated homemaker. She worked in homes in Orange County for the Department of Health. She also worked for the NY Telephone Co.
She will be dearly missed by her family.
She is survived by her husband Robert Buchanan Jr.; two sons, George Dolan and wife Marilyn of Montgomery, Robert Dolan of the area; Grandchildren James E. Dolan and wife Dawn; Shawn Dolan and wife Christine, Darren LaBar and wife Sarah; many nieces and great grandchildren Zachary LaBar, Casey Jo LaBar, Joshua Dolan, Anthony Dolan, and Jason Dolan.
She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters.
Cremation took place at Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh, NY.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Monday January 27 from 2- 4PM at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home 39 Orchard St. Walden, NY 12586.
Services will be at 4PM at the Funeral Home
A Memorial Tree was planted for Anna
