Delores Rae Vermilling a longtime resident of Washingtonville passed away on Saturday February 22, 2014 with her family by her side in Ladson, South Carolina. She was 84 years old. Daughter of the late Harry and Eleanor Ronk Hedin, Delores was born on February 19, 1930 in the Marlboro, New York. She was the widow of the late James Edward Vermilling Sr. Delores was a graduate of Maybrook High School. She was a nursing assistant at Orange Farm/Valley View Nursing Home. She was a member of the American Legion, Monroe Ambulance, Women’s Auxillary. She enjoyed bowling. She will be dearly missed by her family Delores is survived by her son, James Edward Vermilling Jr. and wife Tammy of Ladson, S.C.; brother Edward Hedin of Maybrook; grandchildren Christopher, Michael, Scott, Brandon, Courtney, Justin, Rebecca and James III; ten great grandchildren She was predeceased by husband James Sr.; son Paul; daughter Kim Marie; grandson Shawn; and several brothers and sisters. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday February 26, 2014 at 12 Noon at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home 39 Orchard St. Walden, New York 12586 Burial will be in the Washingtonville Cemetery, Washingtonville, NY.
