Obituary of Vincenza Ronca
Vincenza Ronca passed peacefully at Montgomery Nursing home in the presence of family and friends on March 17th 2014.
Vincenza was Born in Montoro Inferiore, Avellino, Italy on February 15, 1919. As a young woman, she was classically trained in the sartorial arts. She was married and started a family in Italy, where they lived until emigrating to New York City in 1967. A resident of Walden, NY for more than 30 years, Vincenza was an active member of the Most Precious Blood Church, and was passionately driven by her faith. She was an avid home gardener and enjoyed knitting immensely.
Vincenza is survived by her loving children: daughter, Maria Leo and husband Sam; and son, Goffredo Ronca and wife Pina, all of Walden, NY; five Grandchildren and their families; Pasquale Leo, Vincenza Villani, Cheech Leo, Piera Ronca and Amedeo Leo; and one Great-Grandchild, Mia Villani.
She was predeceased by her devoted husband, Amedeo Ronca.
Vincenza’s family would like to acknowledge the kindness and professionalism of the staff at the Montgomery Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Montgomery NY.

Visitation was held on Thursday March 20,2014.from 2 to 4 PM and 7-9 PM at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home at 39 Orchard Street in Walden NY. A Mass of Christian Burial was be celebrated on at Most Precious Blood Church in Walden on Friday March 21 at 10 AM,. Burial followed the mass at the Wallkill Valley Cemetery in Walden, NY.
