Roberta J. Petzold of Maybrook, NY passed away on Monday, March 17, 2014 at Orange Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. The daughter of Laurence and Lila Blake Conklin, she was born on June 11, 1935 in the Town of Montgomery. She was 78 years old. Roby was a dedicated homemaker. She was a 40 year member of the Ladies Auxillary of the Maybrook Fire Department. She served as Maybrook Village Historian for 24 yrs. as well as being a member of the Maybrook Golden Links. She is survived by her two sons: Blaine Petzold and his wife Pat and Brian Petzold and his wife Virginia both of Maybrook; daughter, Lori Marshall and her husband, Larry of Montgomery; two brothers: Richard Conklin of Montgomery and Brad Conklin of Maybrook; six grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Roby was predeceased by her husband Kenneth J. Petzold and her sister Betty Panaro. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 19 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 20 at 10 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Wallkill Valley Cemetery, Walden, NY.
