Rose M. Lederer, a homemaker of Pine Bush, NY, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 in Campbell Hall Nursing Home, Campbell Hall, NY. The daughter of Felix and Lucy J. Brassett Romash, she was born on December, 31, 1920 in Newark, NJ. She was 93 years old.
She was the widow of the late Ernest L. Lederer. She was a former member of the Altar Rosary Society of the Church of the Infant Savior.
Rose is survived by her daughters, Diane DeGaetano and her husband, Arthur of Hopewell Jct., Susan Lederer-Carroll of Pine Bush, and Linda Smaha of Rock Hill; two sisters, Katherine Romash of Accord and Irene Romash of Walden; a grandson, Art DeGaetano and his wife, Joelle of New Jersey; great granddaughter, Ava Rose DeGaetano; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Steven Lederer and several brothers and sisters.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 8th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St. Walden, NY. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 9th at 10 AM at the St. Mary’s Church, Montgomery, NY. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Montgomery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Pine Bush Ambulance Corps.
