Dennis G. Hamel of Middletown, NY passed away on December 14, 2018 at the Kaplan Family Hospice Residence in Newburgh, NY. The son of the late Wolfgang and June Thompson Hamel, he was born on July 6, 1948 in New York City. He was 70 years old.
Survivors include his brother, Peter Hamel and his wife, Linda, of South Carolina; nephew, Steven R. Hamel and his wife, Karalyn, of Westtown, NY; nieces, Laura Cash and her husband, Chris, of Texas, Susan Sudduth and her husband, Mark, of South Carolina. Dennis was predeceased by his brother, Ronald Hamel.
A memorial visitation will be held from 6-8PM on Thursday, January 3rd 2019 at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St. Walden, NY 12586.
Memorial contributions may be made in Dennis’s name to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, 800 Stony Brook Ct, Newburgh, NY 12550.
