Obituary of Samuel E. Palmer

Samuel E. “Sambo” Palmer,Jr, of Glen Lyon, PA formerly of Walden,NY, a blacktopper for Ron DeGroodt Paving, Walden, passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2014 in Wilkes-Barre, PA. The son of the late Samuel E. Sr. and Mary Hall Palmer, he was born on February 24, 1964 in Cornwall, NY. He was 50 years old.
Samuel was the husband of Michelle DeGroat Palmer, who survives him at home. He is also survived by his sons, Chad Dunn of Freeland, PA, Shawn Palmer of North Carolina, Sam Palmer III and Steven Palmer both of Wurtsboro; daughter, Cassandra DeGroat of Hopewell Jct; brother, Manny Sebesta of Florida; sisters, Carmen Sebesta of Florida and Phyllis Merced of Campbell Hall; half sisters Debbie and Dianne; and grandchildren, Destinee, Serenity and Kayleigh; Uncle George, cousins and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a half sister, Dorothy and his furry best friend, Gizmo.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 15, 2014 from 4-6 PM at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY. A repast will follow at the Walden Firehouse Social Hall.
Contributions may be made to the family to be used at their discretion. Being a JETS fan, the family would like to have everyone wearing something JETS or the JETS colors.
