Huntley D. Callan, Sr. of Walden, a former employee of Walnut Hill Apts., West Haverstraw, NY, passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh, NY. The son of Huntley and Roberta Callan, he was born on November 17, 1940 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was 73 years old. Huntley was a US Navy veteran and a member of the Woodmen of the World.
Survivors are his sons, Huntley Callan, Jr. and Michael Callan both of Walden, and Christopher Callan of New Jersey; daughters, Cheryl Veith of Walden and Danielle Kilduff of Florida; brother, Robert Callan of Calif.and Richard Callan of New Mexico; sisters, Patricia Ballard and Sharon Oliver both of Indiana; three grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, David and brother, Michael.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2014 from 10 – 11 AM at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard Street, Walden, NY. Funeral services will take place at 11 AM at the funeral home following the visitation. Burial will be in the Wallkill Cemetery, Philipsburg, NY.
