Obituary of LeRoy A. Williams

LeRoy A. Williams III, a 25 year employee of the NYS Thruway Authority in Newburgh, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2014 at home. The son of LeRoy A. and Sally Grahn Williams, Jr., he was born on January 18, 1959 in Nyack, NY He was 55 years old. LeRoy was a former member of the Walton Engine & Hose Co. of the Chester Fire Dept. Survivors are his wife of 35 years, Dawn Diaz Williams at home; sons, LeRoy Williams IV and Joshua H. Williams both of Wallkill, and Michael F. Williams and his wife, Diane of Jupiter, Fl; daughter Danielle Hart and her husband, John of Wappingers Falls; brother, Roger Williams of Hawley, PA; sister, Wendy Howell of Port Jervis; granddaughter, Amanda; father-in-law, Ralph Diaz of San Antonio FL; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and his furry friends, Koda, Daisey, Charley and Mollie. He was predeceased by his sister, Deborah Weaver. A visitation will be held on Friday, September 5th , from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St. Walden, NY. A funeral mass will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, September 6th at St. Columba R.C. Church, Chester. Burial will be in the St. Columba Cemetery, Chester. Memorial contributions may be made to the Walden Humane Society.
