Alma Viola Nutt, a homemaker, passed away on September 14, 2014 at home. The daughter of Carl and Amanda Johnson Blomquist, she was born on October 23, 1914, in So. Ozone Park, NY. She was 99 years old. She was the widow of the late Roger McClung Nutt.
Alma is survived by her daughters, Jean Campbell of Cocoa Beach, FL and Dorothy Lawless and her husband, Thomas of Walden; eight grandchildren, twenty- two great grandchildren, ten great great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Elsie McCullough, granddaughter Linda Clancy; brothers, Oscar Erland “Al” Blomquist and Carl Blomquist; sister, Anna Blomquist and son-in-law, Curmitt C. Campbell.
Visitation will be on Thursday, September 18, 2014 from 10:00 – 10:30 AM at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY. Graveside services and burial will follow at 11 AM at the Wallkill Valley Cemetery, Walden, NY.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice
