Obituary of Harold R. Brown

Harold R. Brown, Sr. of Walden, NY died on October 9, 2014. He was a retired maintenance tech at Tarkett. The son of the late William and Rosalie Bayles Brown, he was born on March 10, 1927 in Wallkill, NY. He was married to the late Bernice Thorpe Brown. Harold served two years in the US Army. Survivors include his son, Harold R. Brown, Jr. and his wife, Debbie of Walden; three daughters, Carol Weeks and her husband, Donald of Maybrook, Debra Burnett and her husband, Cortis of Newburgh and Robin Townsend and her husband, Dale of Walden; 17 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 5 great grand grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Robert, William, and Edward, daughter, Barbara Score and grandson Dennis Edwards. A visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th from 6-9 PM at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY. Funeral services will be held graveside at 11 AM on Tuesday, October 14th at the Burynswick Rural Cemetery, Wallkill, NY In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Meals on Wheels, PO Box 2615, Newburgh, NY.
