Ralph C. Hopper of Montgomery, NY passed away at home on Sunday,
November 5, 2017. The son of the late Jimmy Bert and Mildred Richardson Hopper, he was born on February 14, 1948 in Fairfield, California. He was 69 years old. He was a bus monitor for First Student, Pine Bush, NY and past president of the Tri State Volkswagen Club.
Ralph is survived by his wife, Barbara J. Bollin Hopper at home; son, James W. Hopper at home; stepdaughter, Kirsten DuBois; sister, Rosemary Shea of California; aunts, uncles and cousins. He was also survived by his First Student Family, the Volkswagen community and his dear friend, Jaxxon. He was predeceased by his brother, Jimmy “Bock” Hopper.
A memorial visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Friday, November 10th at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY. Memorial services will be held at 8 PM at the funeral home following the visitation.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties; 800 Stony Brook Ct., Newburgh, NY 12550.
