Virginia L. Steinhilber, a homemaker, of Pine Bush, NY, passed away on Friday, December 5, 2014 at Orange Region Medical Center, Town of Wallkill, NY. The daughter of LeRoy and Ruth Dunn Merring, she was born on November 29, 1940 in Cornwall, NY. She was 74 years old. Virginia was the widow of the late Norman T. Steinhilber. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and the Ladies Scotts Corners Golf League.
Virginia is survived by her son, Kevin Steinhilber and his wife, Patricia of Wallkill; daughter, Tammie Eisloeffel of Bloomingburg; brothers, Clifton Jones of Little Falls, NY, Donald Merring of North Carolina, Les Barkley of Florida; sisters, Donna Coulter of Walden, Irene Rearick of Pine Bush, and Nancy Schofield of Wallkill; grandchildren, Mark, Matthew, Anthony, Nathan, Christopher and Alexandria; great grandchildren, Caleb and Emma, nieces, nephews and her cat, Nubby. She was predeceased by her sister Louise Davis.
Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th from 5 – 7 PM at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Route 208, Walden, NY. A memorial service will be held at the church on Thursday at 7 PM following the visitation. Cremation was in the Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh.
Contributions may be made to the family to be used at their discretion.
