Muriel S. Bjork, a homemaker of Pine Bush, NY, passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2014 in Valley View Nursing Home, Goshen, NY. The daughter of Charles and Sylvia Brace Haynes, she was born on December 1, 1919 in New York City, NY. She was 95 years old. She was the widow of the late Edward Clifford Bjork.
Muriel is survived by her son, Edward C. Bjork and his wife, Dianne of Pine Bush; daughter, Muriel B. Gumina of Bloomingburg; sister, Doris Shea of Montgomery; grandchildren, Salvatore, Edward, Christopher and Patricia; great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Victoria, David, Sophia, Josephine, and Isabella, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Charles Haynes and sister, Edith Connors.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard Street, Walden, NY. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 19th at 11 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Wallkill Valley Cemetery, Walden.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Town of Montgomery Food Pantry.
