Virginia J. Linehart of Montgomery, NY passed away on Friday, December 19, 2014 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Town of Wallkill, NY. The daughter of the late George and Gertrude Peterson Hoop, she was born on July 28, 1925 in New York City, NY. She was a former employee of Interstate Bag, Walden, NY. Virginia was the widow of the late Joseph W. Linehart.
Survivors are her six sons, Kenneth, Stephen, Daniel, Brian, Kevin and Mark; five daughters, Grace, Virginia, Wanda, Beth and Christine; sister, Grace Balvin, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, James Smith, who died in Viet Nam and her brother, George Hoop.
The family wished to thank the nursing staff on the 5th floor of ORMC.
A visitation will be held on Monday, December 22nd from 7-9 PM at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard Street, Walden, NY. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, December 23rd at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Wallkill Valley Cemetery, Walden.
