Charles V. Wallace went home to the Lord on February 3, 2015. He was 74 years old. He was born on January 18, 1941 to the late Aaron Van Duzer Wallace Jr. and Frances Huntington Wilson Wallace in Goshen, NY. Charlie owned and operated Charles Wallace Surveying company in Montgomery, NY. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy on the USS Forrestal. He served on the Montgomery Planning Board, Montgomery Master Plan Committee, General Montgomery Day Committee, Montgomery Fireman’s Fair Committee, Chairman of the Board of Commissioner for Montgomery Fire District and a member of the American Legion. Charlie received Fireman of the year award 1978, Montgomery Fire Department Life Saver Award 2008, Commissioners Award for outstanding service 2012. He was a loving husband to Julianne Wallace; proud father to Dr. Diana R. Wallace of New Windsor, Bonnie M. Bennett of Modena, Susan K. Armstrong and husband Gavin of Tacoma, WA; Grandfather to Mark M. Armstrong and wife Cassie, Janelle Bennett and Matthew C. Bennett; great grandfather to Jackson M. Armstrong; brother to John W. Wallace and wife Mary of N. Andover, MA A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday February 7, 2015 from 10 -12 at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church 2520 NYS Rte 208 Walden, NY. Services will be held at 12 noon at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. Contributions may be made to the Montgomery Fire Dept. or the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. Cremation Cedar Hill Crematory Newburgh, NY.
