Dorothy Z. Jamieson passed away on March 30, 2015 at Park Manor Nursing Home in Middletown, NY with her loving family by her side. She was 88 years old. She was born on October 25, 1926 to the late John A. and Alice Caroline Mitchell Zimmerman in Newburgh, NY. She was the widow of the late Samuel Bradley Jamieson Jr..
Dorothy was a member of Holy Name of Mary Church in Montgomery, N.Y. where she was a member of the choir. She was a Girl Scout leader, member of the Montgomery Elementary PTA from 1951-1964. Dorothy was active in selling War Bonds and in 1943 was declared Miss Stewart Field.
Dorothy is survived by; daughter Jan Jamieson Shadrin (Rich) of Walden; sons, Brad Jamieson (Deborah) of Walden, John Jamieson (Cindi) of Vermont; Grandchildren, Ryan Shadrin (Ashley), Kate Shadrin, Bradley Jamieson (Melissa), Benjamin Jamieson (Katie), Kristian Jamieson (Christie), Ian Jamieson (Michelle), Anna Jamieson; Great grandchildren, Matthew Mycka, Ethan Riggle, Maesie Shadrin,Samuel Shadrin, Summer Jamieson, Liam Jamieson, Finnegan Jamieson, Eva Jamieson, Hudson Jamieson; nieces and nephews, Alice Zimmerman Wiener (Lawrence), Eline Barclay, Mary Ann Zimmerman, Jack Zimmerman, Kirsten Hiess (Lokke), Henry Skigen; cousin, Tom Dowling; dear friends Mary and Jessie; and her beloved dog Henry.
She was predeceased by her husband Samuel Bradley Jamieson Jr. and brother and sister-in-law John and Thora Jamieson.
Cremation and services will be private.
