Sylvia Poradish of Montgomery, NY passed away on Monday, August 3, 2015 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Town of Wallkill, NY. The daughter of Otto and Diana Buchbinder Fuchs, she was born on September 20, 1932 in Bronx, NY. She was 82 years old. She was the widow of the late Julius J. Poradish. Sylvia and her husband, Julius were co-owners of J-S Service Center in Montgomery.
Survivors are her son, Erick Joseph Poradish of Idaho; brothers: Norbet Fuchs of New Jersey and Martin Fuchs of Texas; grandchildren, Amanda, Matthew, Madison and Megan Elizabeth, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother and two sisters.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 6th from 11 – 12 noon at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the O. C. Veterans Cemetery, Goshen, NY.
