Elizabeth (Lisa) Floess, formerly of Walden, NY and Mills River, NC, passed away at the Northwoods Rehab Center, Moravia, NY on October 2, 2018. She was born on January 20, 1921 in Balingen, Germany. She was the widow of the late Konrad Floess.
She is survived by her sons, Peter Floess and his wife, Janice of Mills River, NC and John Floess of Walden, NY; two grandsons and five great grandchildren.
Lisa and her late husband, Konrad, loved children so much, they opened their home to some 40 children in need over the years. Robert Carlock of Greensboro NC and Cheryl Gonzalez of Middletown, NY stayed in constant touch with Lisa and Konrad after they retired to Mill River, NC in 1988.
Interment of her cremains will be at 1:00 pm on Thursday, October 18th in the Wallkill Valley Cemetery, Walden, NY.
