Obituary of Thomas Aukema

Thomas Aukema of Wallkill entered into rest at home on Monday, October 3,3018 after a long illness. The son of the late Gerben and Janet Veenstra Aukema, he was born on March 12, 1945 in Holland. He was 73 years old. Tom was a retired dairy farmer and beefalo farmer. Survivors are his wife, Sharon Quirk Aukema at home; daughters: Christine Hoell and her husband, Joseph of Modena and Danielle Wilkie and her, husband, Christopher of Wallkill; grandchildren, Bradley, Jeffrey, and Christopher Wilkie and Daniel, Kelly and Sara Hoell. He was predeceased by his daughter, Katie Aukema and son, Thomas Anthony Aukema. Cremation and burial will be private. A memorial will be held at a later date.
