Theresa M. Algarin of Montgomery, NY passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Middletown, NY. The daughter of the late Joseph and Juanita Torregrosa Vasquez, she was born on January 30, 1944 in New York City, NY. She was a registered nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital, Suffern, NY. Theresa was the widow of the late Richard Algarin.
She was a member of the Montgomery Senior Center and an honorary member of the Walden Senior Citizens.
She is survived by her sons, Richard Algarin and his wife Lisa of Scotchtown, Daniel Algarin and his wife, Diana of Maybrook and Joseph Algarin and his wife, Melissa of Pine Bush; daughters: Elissa Halpin and her husband, James of Bedford and Tara Teutul and her husband, Daniel of Montgomery; sister, Irene Vasquez of Wappingers Falls; 15 grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 11th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on Friday, February 12th at Holy Name of Mary Church, Montgomery. Burial will be in the Scotchtown Cemetery, Scotchtown, NY.
