Dorothy G. Cutler of Walden, NY passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Middletown Park Manor, Middletown, NY. The daughter of the late John and Mary Benson, she was born on May 28, 1917 in Franklin, Maine. She was 98 years old. She was the widow of the late Clifford Cutler. Dorothy was a member of the Walden Baptist Church, where she organized and was a member of their choir. She was a former newspaper carrier well into her 80’s for the Times Herald Record and was named Carrier of the Year. Survivors include her son, Martin Cutler and his wife, Jetta of Tennessee, many grandchildren including, Cynthia Haverlan and her husband, Kenneth, Timothy Dayton and Susan Spitz; many great grandchildren including Kirsten Haverlan, Holli Dayton and Kristy Parton; and many great great grandchildren including Teagen, Kooper, Callen and Jacey and her best friend, Bonnie Reynolds. She was predeceased by her sons, Bobby and Thomas, step-daughters, Georgette and Betty, four sisters and two brothers. A visitation will be held on Friday, February 26th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard Street, Walden, NY. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, February 27th at the Walden Baptist Church, Bank Street, Walden, NY. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery, New Windsor, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Josephine-Louise Library, Walden, NY.
