Edwin C. VanVoorhis, Sr. of Wallkill, NY passed away at home on Saturday,
March 12, 2016. The son of the late Charles and Nettie Van Amburgh VanVoorhis, he was born on January 27, 1936 in Newburgh, NY. He was 80 years old. Edwin was a US Navy Veteran. He was an employee of AM Kennedy, Wappingers Falls, NY and the widower of the late Jane VanVoorhis.
Survivors are his son, Edwin VanVoorhis, Jr. of Wallkill; daughters: Pamela Ploss and her husband, Donald of Newburgh and Mary Susan VanVoorhis of Wallkill; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are private. Cremation is in the Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Ulster Co.
