Louise H. West of Wallkill, NY passed away at home on Wednesday, March 23, 2016. The daughter of the late Elwood and Jane Innis Howell, she was born on November 6, 1926 in Newburgh, NY. She was 89 years old. Louise was the widow of the late Wilson C. West. She co-owner of West Ceramics in Highland, NY. She loved to travel.
Survivors are her sons, W. Bruce McCord and his wife, Karen of Red Hook, and Gary H. McCord of Wallkill; daughter, JoAnn M. Wilkins and her husband, Ross of Gardiner; step-son, Frederick West and his wife, Phyllis of Estero, Fl., and grandchildren, Jennifer, Joshua, Jamie, Carol , Jason, Patty, Kimberly, and Alyson, and several great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 10- 11 AM on Tuesday, March 29th at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM following the visitation. Cremation was in the Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Assoc.
