Susie Leckawicz of Walden, NY passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh,NY. The daughter of the late Alberto and Filomina Annunziata Sirico, she was born on March 2, 1928 in Manhattan, NY. She was 88 years old. She was the widow of the late Bernard Leckawicz.
Susie is survived by her daughter, Lucille Lefavber of Walden; son, Bernard Leckawicz, Jr. and his wife, Carol of Massapequa; sister, Connie Taccariello of Boca Raton, FL; grandchildren, Denise, Theresa, Susan, Christopher and Stacey and great grandchildren, Brianna and Anthony. She was predeceased by her brother, Jerry.
A visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 on Thursday, April 7th at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 8 PM following the visitation.
Cremation will be at the Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh. Interment of cremains will be in the Orange County Veterans Cemetery, Goshen, NY.
