Ermelindo A. “Mindo” Serrano, Sr. of Cornwall, NY passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh, NY. The son of the late Fredisuindo and Paula Acevedo Serrano, he was born on September 15, 1957 in Puerto Rico. He was 58 years old.
Mindo is survived by his sons: Ermelindo Serrano, Jr. and his wife, Sarah of Japan and Jaison Serrano and his wife, Glenda of Arkansas; daughters: Janitza Serrano of Walden, Jasmin Serrano or state of Florida, Tania Serrano of Wallkill, and Paula Serrano of Connecticut; brother, Fredisuindo Serrano, Jr. of Newburgh; sisters: Ana Rodriguez of Newburgh, Gladys Rodriguez and her husband, Joe of state of Florida, and Lissie Iris Cesti of New Windsor; several grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Thursday, April 21st at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY. Services will be held at 8 PM following the visitation. Burial of his cremains will be in the Orange County Veterans Cemetery, Goshen, at 10 AM on Friday, April 22nd.
