Helen W. Greene, formerly of Walden, NY passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2016 at Valley View Nursing Home, Goshen, NY. The daughter of the late Arthur and Helen Carr Milliken, she was born on February 24, 1925 in Newburgh, NY. She was 91 years old. She was the widow of the late Frederick H. Greene.
Helen is survived by her sons: Richard A. Greene and his wife, Donna of Calif., and Frederick A. Greene and his wife Linda of New Windsor; daughters: Frances H. Zmudzinski of Newburgh and Lorena A Meserole of Walden; brothers: Arthur Milliken of South Carolina, Walter Milliken of Newburgh and Rev. David Milliken of New Jersey; 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren 1 great great grandchild, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, John Milliken.
A visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Thursday, April 28th at the Gridley-Hoan Funeral Home, Inc. 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY. Memorial services will be held at 8PM following the visitation. Burial of cremains will be in the Orange County Veterans Cemetery at 10AM on Friday, April 29th.
