George A. Babcock of Montgomery, NY, formerly of Kerhonkson, NY, passed away on December 14, 2017 at Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown, NY. The son of the late Charles and Mary Van Orden Conklin, he was born March 16, 1951 in Newburgh, NY. He was 66 years old.
George worked as a mechanic for various auto repair shops in Ulster County. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman.
Survivors include sons, Brian C. Babcock and his wife Elise of Montgomery, Anthony J. Babcock and his wife Elizabeth of Washingtonville, Charles W. Babcock of Georgia; brother, Wayne Conklin of Wurtsboro; sister, Lynn Conklin of North Carolina; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. George was predeceased by his son, George Babcock.
Services and cremation are private. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
