Robert J. Wheat of New Windsor, NY passed away at home on Friday, April 29, 2016. The son of the late Clinton and Zita Bradbury Wheat, he was born on January 18, 1938 in Brooklyn, NY. He was 78 years old. He was a financial credit analyst for various companies in New York City, NY. He was an Air Force veteran.
Robert is survived by his wife, Ute Bleymehl Wheat at home; son, Michael Wheat of Maplewood, NJ; daughter, Donna Hayes of Walden; grandchildren, Steven, Amanda, Victoria and Alana; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, June and Delphina.
The family would like to give special thanks to the New Windsor Police Dept. and Mobile Life Support Services.
Graveside services and burial of cremains will be held at 2 PM on Friday, May 6th at the Orange County Veterans Cemetery, Goshen, NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hudson Valley SPCA, 940 Little Britain Road, New Windsor, NY 12553.
