Roy E. Lane of Walden, NY passed away on Friday, June 3, 2016 at Catskill Regional Hospital, Harris, NY. The son of the late Edward and Alma Andersen Lane, he was born on January 6, 1938 in Jamaica, Queens, NY. He was 78 years old. He was the widower of the late Patricia Burke Lane. Roy was a teacher for the Beacon City School District and an active member of the Gideons and the Kawanis.
Survivors are his daughters: Sheryl McGrath of Port Richey, FL; Sharon Gillespie and her husband, Mark of Gardiner and Naomi Perry and her husband, Mitch of Groveland, FL; sisters: Eileen Keilitz and her companion, Raffaele of Lindenhurst, NY; and grandchildren: Jason, Rory, Amber, Donald and Heather.
A visitation will be held on Monday, June 6th from 12-2 PM at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home following the visitation at 2PM. Burial will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery, Newburgh, NY.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Gideons.
