Marjorie D. Hughes, NY passed away on June 10, 2016 at her home in Walden. The daughter of the late Joel and Margaret Borgia Davison, she was born on January 25, 1943 in Brooklyn, NY. She was 73 years old. She was a homemaker and loved her family and friends. She will be missed dearly. Marge was the widow of the late Joseph Hughes.
She is survived by her sons, William Hughes of Walden; James and wife Diana of Farmingdale, NY; daughters, Julie-Ann Montanaro and husband Robert of Walden; Marjorie Cragan and husband Michael of Walden; brother-in-law James F. Hughes and wife Mary-Ann of Staten Island; sister of the heart, Jeanne Dumpis; good friend Beverly Cahill; grandchildren, Erin and Casey Cragan, Sara, Joseph and Emily Hughes, Matt, Devin and Sarah Stolz and her beloved dog Ruby.
Marge was predeceased by her husband Joseph, son Joseph, grandson Jake and sister in heart Janet.
A visitation will be held on Monday, June 13, 2016 from 5-8 PM at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY. A funeral service will be celebrated at 2 PM on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Wallkill Valley Cemetery, Walden, NY.
