Fred Stalter of Reford, NC, a former longtime resident of Walden and Wallkill, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2016. Born on April 18, 1940, he was 76 years old. A retired Correctional Officer from the Shawangunk Correctional Facility, Fred loved to hunt, fish, play golf, and let’s not forget watching those METS. His favorite pastime was spending time with his family.
Survivors are his wife of 55 years, Rita Stalter of Raeford, NC; daughters: Corinna Connors and her partner, Mark Kindle of Wallkill and Valerie Coyne McLean and her husband, Kevin of Corona, CA; grandchildren: Jessica Johnston and husband, Eric of Wallkill; Sean Connors and wife, BriAnn of Raeford, NC; Casey Halbohn of Wallkill, Meagn Coyne of Davis, CA; Brendan Connors of Columbas, GA; Corey Halbohn of Raeford, NC and Chrystal Adinolfi of Raeford, NC; 5 beautiful great grandchildren; a loving sister, Barbara Belanger of Bristol, CT and multiple nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Constance Halbohn.
A visitation will be held from 1-5 PM on Sunday, July 3rd at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY.
