Santa A. Taccetta of Montgomery, a seamstress for various dress factories in Manhattan, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2016. The daughter of Dominick and Rafaella Guliano Lettera, she was born on December 25, 1920 in Manhattan, NY. She was 95 years old. Santa was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus in the Bronx. She was the widow of the late Frank J. Taccetta.
Survivors are her daughters: Dr. Jeannie Pollock and her husband, Dr. Bill of Jackson, NJ; Dr. Rae Fallon and her husband, John of Montgomery; and Mary St. Angelo of Orlando, FL; brother, Michael Lettera and his wife, Rose, of New Jersey; sister, Anna Perrone of New Jersey; grandchildren: John Paul, Joseph, Sean, Elizabeth and Christopher and great grandchildfren Juliana and Luca. She was predeceased by her sister, Nettie Mortillo.
A visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Tuesday, June 28th at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, June 29th at Holy Name of Mary-Assumption Church, Montgomery, NY. Burial will be in St. Raymond’s Cemetery, Bronx, NY.
