James Scott of Walden, NY formerly of Collingswood, NJ, passed away on Friday, July 1, 2016 at the Valley View Nursing Home, Goshen, NY. The son of the late Thomas and Marjory Lowden Scott, he was born on October 21, 1928 in Westmont, NJ. He was 87 years old.
James was the widower of the late Katherine M.H. Scott and a self employed home improvement contractor in Collingswood, NJ. He was formerly active with the Boy Scouts, Kawanis, and served on the Planning Board in Collingswood, NJ.
Survivors are his daughter, Lois MacDonald and her husband, Ronald of Walden; son, Duane W. Scott of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; daughter-in-law, Patricia Littleton of NJ; grandchildren: Heather, Alex, Stephanie and Carolyn. Along with his wife, Katherine, he was preceded in death by his son, James Michael Scott and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be private.
