Arthur “Brad” Bradley Conklin of Maybrook, NY passed away on July 18, 2016 at home surrounded by his family. The son of the late Lawrence and Lila Blake Conklin, he was born on September 12, 1926 in Montgomery, NY. He was 89 years old. He was the widower of the late Theresa Conklin.
Brad honorably served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. He was a corrections officer at the Wallkill Correctional Facility for many years. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Brad is survived by his son, Brad Conklin and wife, Jill of Maybrook; daughter, Cheri Cardone and husband, Bill of Maybrook; four grandchildren, Jaime and husband, Tom Lefebvre, B.J. Cardone and wife Crystle, Bradley Conklin and wife,Karen, Kyle Conklin and fiancé, Jenn Rickerd; five great grandchildren, Audrey, Adelyn, Brayson, Caylee and Kashtyn; nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother Richard Conklin; two sisters, Betty Panaro and Roby Petzold.
A visitation will be held from 6-9PM on Wednesday, July 20th at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard Street, Walden, NY. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM at the funeral home on Thursday July 21, 2016.
Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery Montgomery, NY
Memorial Contributions may be made to Hudson Valley Honor Flight.
