Joanne S. Hopkins of Melbourne Beach, FL passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 in Montgomery, NY. The daughter of the late Bernard and Rose Marie Ferrara Patrone, she was born on September 14, 1943 in Brooklyn, NY. She was 72 years old. Joanne was a retired school teacher at Holy Innocent School, Brooklyn, NY.
Survivors are her husband, Robert V. Hopkins at home; daughters: Tara Suchy and her husband, Martin of Montgomery and Dana Hopkins of Red Hook; sister, Lizbeth Freeman and her husband, Terry of Tenn.; grandchildren: Nicholas, Andrew, Grace and Benjamin; nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 11th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10: 00 AM on Friday, August 12th at St. Paul’s R.C. Church, Bullville, NY. Burial will be in the Callicoon Center Cemetery, Callicoon Center, NY.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Montgomery Fire Dept. of the Town of Montgomery Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
