Trudy J. Dean, a homemaker, of Port Jervis, NY passed away at home on Sunday, October 2, 2016. The daughter of AMarion Edward Holmes and Beatrice Sullivan Holmes, she was born on May 4, 1948 in Oneonta, NY. She was 68 years old. She liked riding motorcycles, crafts and was a great supporter of St. Jude’s and Joyce Meyer Ministries and spending time with her family. Trudy is survived by her husband, Orville Dean at home; her mother, Beatrice Holmes of Charlottesville, VA; sons: Richard Dean and his wife, Laura and Timothy Dean and his wife, Linda both of Walden; daughter, Lori Dean and her fiancé, Darren Olympia of Walden; sister: Marion Stephens and husband, Sonny of VA; Patricia Crosby and husband, Toby of Greene, NY; Bonnie Herring and husband, Jimmy of VA, Betty Chitam of VA; grandchildren: Katrena and husband, Gerson, Joseph and fiancée, Kaitlin, Christopher, Bailey, Shavon and husband, Kyle; Paul and fiancée, Julie, Hope, Walter, Shawn, Heather, Danielle, and Jessica; several great grandchildren that brought great joy to her life, many nieces and nephews and close friends Jim Davis, Kent Clark and Paul Renstrom. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, October 5th at the funeral home. Burial will be in Plains Cemetery, Oneonta, NY. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties or the American Cancer Society. 8
