Arthur J. Szeli of the Town of Newburgh passed away on November 12, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Newburgh, NY. He was 61 years of age. Born on February 22, 1955, in Newburgh, NY, he was the son of the late Arthur and Mary Nosek Szeli. He was a supervisor at West Point Military Academy for many years. He was a member of the Orange Lake Rod and Gun Club, Bethlehem Rod and Gun Club and the Oswego County ATV Club.
He is survived by his wife Catherine MacDonald Szeli at home; sons, Daniel R. Szeli and Kimberly Leonard of Walden, Gregory M. Szeli of Newburgh; daughter, Christina L. Szeli of Newburgh; brother Thomas Szeli and Gail Clark of Wallkill; sisters, Maria Szeli of Newburgh, Theresa Bienwald and Karl of Newburgh; two grand children, Patrick and Jackson; several nieces and nephews.
Arthur was predeceased by his brother Victor Szeli.
Memorial services will be held from 6-8 PM on Wednesday, November 16th , 2016at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St. Walden, NY 12586.
Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 10 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church 145 Benkard Ave. Newburgh, NY.
